About Wrap & Paint Lab
Learn why Wrap & Paint Lab publishes transparent, privacy-first vehicle wrap and automotive paint planning calculators.
A measuring bench, not a marketplace
Wrap & Paint Lab exists to make early planning more inspectable. Material and refinishing estimates often compress geometry, allowances, labor, and pricing into one number. Our calculators keep those layers separate so you can see which assumption changed the result.
The site is independent and brand-neutral. It does not sell leads, take commissions, rank installers, recommend products, or publish affiliate links. It has no vehicle-model database and does not invent local prices.
What the calculators can do
The tools can help you organize dimensions, explore the effect of waste and coverage, prepare questions for a supplier or shop, and compare a quote with your own explicit assumptions. They are useful before a purchase or conversation, not as authorization to perform work.
What they cannot do
A generic envelope cannot capture every curve, recess, overlap, defect, trim choice, blend boundary, product limitation, or shop practice. The paint tools are quantity and budget arithmetic only. They do not teach surface preparation, chemical handling, mixing procedure, spray technique, pressure, ventilation, or disposal.
Browser-local calculation is part of the product promise. There is no account, database, or server calculation endpoint. Read the privacy policy for the exact boundary.
Who the site is for
The site is for vehicle owners, estimators, designers, suppliers, and shops that need an early worksheet with visible math. Different readers may know different inputs. One person may have direct measurements but no package prices; another may have a written quote but need to understand its scope. Blank fields are acceptable until a defensible value is available.
How the library is organized
Three calculators handle wrap quantity, automotive paint quantity, and panel refinishing cost. The guide library explains the decisions behind their inputs: measurement, surface area, roll layout, coverage, transfer efficiency, component ratios, cost layers, and quote comparison.
One primary page owns each researched search intent. Supporting guides answer narrower planning questions without repeating the primary article or creating city, brand, model, and keyword-order variations.
How to judge a result
A useful result is reproducible. Another person should be able to see the entered scope, follow the formula, identify assumptions, and explain why the number changed. If the source of a coverage rate, labor figure, price, or allowance is unknown, the worksheet should make that uncertainty visible rather than hide it behind a polished total.
